Amazonia
Amazonia, or the Amazon rainforest, covers several countries - most of is lies in Brazil, Peru and Colombia, but in smaller extent also in Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela, Suriname, Guyana and French Guiana. The forest grows about 400 billion trees belonging to 16,000 species, and a huge number of other plant species, as well as animal wildlife. Amazonia is the most biologically diverse place on Earth. It contains millions of species, most of them still undescribed. The entire Amazon rainforest represents more than half of the world's remaining tropical rainforests.
In the rainforest, you will be enchanted by the beauty of the nature. But it's not for everyone: keep in mind that some of the species also can be a bit dangerous. Among the largest predatory creatures are the black caiman, jaguar, cougar, and anaconda. In the river, it is similar: electric eels can produce an electric shock that can stun or kill, while piranha are known to bite and injure humans. Various species of poison dart frogs secrete lipophilic alkaloid toxins through their flesh. Well, nothing for the gutless ones. Are you one of them? Or, maybe not?
